Except I don't make fake SS camouflage items, I have only had friends hearts broken by these fakes.
Lorenzo clearly believes his fake covers are real.

The mis direction of the angle of cloth being cut is just a diversion to the guts of that has went on over the last 10ishyears.

    Please remember 10 years ago.
Everyone had loads of money and SS was hot as a collectable.
The E-stand here was on fire.
It was loaded up with all types of quality and shoddy items.
    Everything sold fast.
Making Fake helmet covers was good business.
Guys wanted their stuff and not loads of questions were asked.
People like PVL noticed there was an endless supply from Lorenzo.
    Red Flag.
    Fritz began connecting the dots.
When I met Lorenzo in person and he offered me my pick of 3 covers I connected the dots really fast.

Its actually really sad state of affairs for the SS helmet cover community which caught a break when the late war oaks of the hoard was found.

I personally want whats right for the community as I like to know my collection has real pieces and that makes me happy, fakes make me sick.
Its something I am sure we all share.
And there is NOT 1 person here who has not been taken to the floor by a fake and learned the hard way.

Is it a battle between good and bad ?

    You decide.

Yes. The picture is of no use. I told you how to take it properly, something you can't bring yourself to do for whatever reason.

You are very welcome not to share my observations. I know you are a smart man and have your own conclusions which seem to differ from mine. All ok.

I certainly cannot see my theory going down the drain, the opposite is actually the case.

        Cheers

It is IMO, the picture is of no use though. It will look much different when not on a helmet that had been skipped forward and with the spring being pulled, not pulling the material together.

However, even if this is so - which I doubt - it would be a very rare exception. Lorenzo's covers and caps all have this.

          Cheers

A picture of the cover as requested would tell us whether this is a rare exception or the photo provided is misguiding.

            Cheers

              Tom,
this cover is a nice original, I owned myself in the past two exemples like this, great cover.
If I'm not wrong they were delivered after war in Norvegien to the Home Defence corp, right?

That means by Fritz and Owens statements that this cover is fake. So will this cover kill the cat? BTW I find your cap promising, needs and hands-on inspection as always.
              Best regards, Tom

Much could be sad on the above in other directions, but an suspension is not worth it

As to dealers, they are probably shaky and keep their mouth shut as to not getting mass returns.

As to Owen, i and many other collectors find him to be an real asset to this forum, especially in the cammo section.

Incorrect. You have just failed in opening a new thread as these questions you were asking have got nothing to do with this thread.

I asked you to start a new thread with all your questions that don't belong here. Yet another thing you couldn't bring yourself to do. In fact your choice was not to care. And instead you would keep on going abusing this thread for asking questions that don't belong here.

                          Cheers
