I have seen pockets flaps and bags sewn flat for Heer tailor made tunics and we did this with dress tunics in the US Army for a smarter appearance.

The tunic is quite worn, but gently, and soiled. The collar cloth shows more soiling than the collar tabs and a quite clear difference can be seen.
I also observe that this is a quite high ranking officer and I think he would have gotten a "new" fresh tunic in those early years rather than using that old worn one when promoted.

I have seen this before and in that thread it was a vital clue towards what later came to be exposed as a fake.
One should not dismiss a tunic because of this but one should not swallow theories like they used everything over and over again, so all mixes are "normal", without critical thinking and a sceptical mind.
Be careful out there. Without rock solid iron clad evidence this tunic should be valued as a parts tunic IMHO.

Hello,
I am pretty sure that its an army aguillette because it doesn't have any ss runes like i have seen on other examples. Also there isnt a button under the shoulder strap to attache an aguillette.
Also, there is an cloth rzm tag under the shoulder board...never noticed it before.

As Ian stated the RFSS tag in the armband is a reproduction. Which would make the armband itself one also. The cufftitle while having a convincing tag and look has a backing material that is usually but not always attributed to some very early repros done in England. I have had a Schule Tolz that was one of these and was bought as such. What are the patches in the interior armpits were there belt ramp holders original there and cover over after removal. I would look very closely at the cuffs. Are they the exact same material as the rest of the tunic. How are they constucted This looks alot like a converted post war harbor police tunic.
