Yep Heer all the way...Its good that it was disclosed...now to find out why!
Still hoping for a Heer-WSS transfer Wallonie connection! (and wrongly restored). For me the only logical explanation.
The Cufftitle is NOT what a bonafide RZM pattern (flat-wire) is supposed to look like in my view...Attached FilesLast edited by NickG; 07-23-2015, 01:36 PM.

I do not like the cuff title at all. There have been numerous attempts, post-war, to hand embroider in the vertical flat wire pattern. If you look closely, it appears there is glue holding the bullion in place so it does not move around. The entire idea of embroidering in a vertical patterm by hand, makes for a weak and unreliable cuff title.
If this is considered an original wartime SS tunic, we have lowered the bar for authenticity to a great extent.

Nail in the coffin ?! There is no coffin to nail it in ...
I haven't seen any solid proof that this 'nails' anything here Nick.
besides, your paint program seems to show little details that i can not see with the tunic in hand. Fascinating !
As for the eagle, do you see in with your paint program any evidence of it being sewed to the jacket ?
The cufftitle is either good, or its back... there is nothing in between.
If there are copies like these known and there is proof of that i'm MORE then willing to rest my case, believe me. Solid proof is what I would like to hear. No jibba jabba about somethings that might not be. And if you think if tricking me into removing the stitching to look at the back... well, it goes without saying... NO.

Well maybe its not glue...I don't know for sure...fuzz/fluff??? You have it in hand... just commenting on Bob's observations...its some kind of residue...that's not supposed to be there!
Honestly I am not a cuff title expert but can tell what many textbook ones are supposed to look like and this one isn't in that category. Is it good or bad? Foreign made or what?
Whatever it is it does not make sense with a former Heer eagle ghost (not Wallonien transfer...only Wiking-Das Reich history) and to me that is the MUCH bigger issue.
I am actually an ally, I like the tunic and the eagle + rank parts...and even the tag which I defended (the ONLY one) with that Francophone style writing explanation. It ALL makes sense for a Belgian officer but the "Heer" (adler)) connection is odd...unless its the other Roekens, medical Wallonie Division guy ("IV" as per the tag). Again I would research that avenue!!
(Dat klopt als een bus!) and at the same time take a peak under the CT for any color difference! A good clue! I already sent a PM to your partner urging him to do so!Attached FilesLast edited by NickG; 07-23-2015, 04:27 PM.
