For what it's worth - and I looked and could not see anyone else reference this in this thread - Mr Gottlieb has in his gallery what looks like a period SS Aiguillette and the one he shows doesn't show that seam mark that I think everyone is having trouble accepting. I know it's very hard to accept that one has bought a bad item, but Gottlieb's piece looks good and I struggle with the aiguillette at the start of this post.

What has also been highlighted in this thread is that a "private message" is not really private after all.

I for one will choose what I say carefully from now on in a PM, lest it be used against me in a very public thread.

There is a very nice looking ss aiguillete for a good price on the collectors guild if anyone is keen - i am literally moving to New York from Sydney in June so I don't have one dollar to spare ... But the example on the guild site looks fantasitic - And a great price too - long live HH

When PM is used to try and threaten or call someone a name or question someone's integrity without having the courage to do it publicly then yes it can be used against that person. Because where I come from it is a cowardly way of saying something to someone while hiding. This has been a total waste of a thread because someone could not handle opinion and not only that it has happened more than one time.
