    Blah, Blah, Blah....

Meanwhile his website has become a repository for fake items. Helmets, Visors, Medals, SS items, It seems every section is thoroughly seeded with expensive fakes. He is either totally a moron who knows nothing about militaria, OR he is a crook. There is no other option. Currently, his sight offers well over 100K in fake items. Where is the outrage towards this seller?

Well Jeff, he is for sure not a crook, so...I guess we go with the other option if that is the only other choice...

I think the crooks (consigners) are playing Kris like a pawn. That way they use him as their scape goat, so he has to take the brunt of everyones backlash and name calling. All the while they just sit back (on this forum) and trump up all the items on his site when they come into question, knowing damn well they are total garbage. Anything for the old mightly dollar. Goes to show what greed does to you, right P.M. It ruins your reputation in the collector community

Indeed. As I said in another thread just find out who sold Dr. Ron over $100K in SS items a few years ago. That is some of the inventory we are talking about now.

Since you guys are talking about Oakleaf, the "Nebelwerfer tunic with factory applied tabs" has 1920s early 30s Reichsheer issue Veterinary tabs on it.

I have never found evidence that Waffenfarbe colored tabs were ever applied in the factory and, manufacture of these types of light gray tabs predate the authorization of the Nebelwerfer waffenfarbe in 1936.

I think that error is more from not knowing than any malice. No one knows everything or is perfect. The consigners may have found a venue for someone that does not know what is good and bad where they can sell off junk with no risk to themselves. At least he pulled the coat and did not ignore this.

Interesting thread. I would buy from Vid any day. He seems like a real crusader for the truth.

If I have learned one thing on this forum, experts (real or imaginary) hate to be criticized on here. Thanks to all the ordinary people with common sense who saw through this one.

However, in all sincerity, I am not sure why everyone is so amazed regarding the labcoat. Did anyone really think it was original?? What are the odds of an SS lab coat surviving in the first place? No one except a moron would be caught in possession of an ss marked lab coat at the end of the war, and certainly it was not a valuable item to have striven to preserve intact, nor was it a respected military uniform worthy to be hidden either.

And who would pay $4,000 for it??? That is pure insanity in my opinion. Best to stock up on something that will be far rarer and more prized in years to come....firearms! Buy em now...they'll probably be illegal before you know it. Someday we can reminisce how we were once simply able to walk into a store and come out with a new pistol and some ammo.

Personally I am really enjoying the attack of honesty that has popped up on this site as of late. There is hope for this hobby after all. Maybe we are going to see a change of the old guard soon. Many thanks go out to those who strive to keep the hobby honest no matter how difficult the task has become.

Its not like these activities are not known, as a matter of fact a lot of it is known as are the names and various area's of expertise. They just can't be named currently, so when an item or situation like this comes up its worth noting all the initials and Geography.

This SS cloth gig is a nightmare and when an item is unique or debatable it makes it more difficult, but make no bones all the players are here on the web and its only a matter of time till the guys who are making the tabs, boards, cuff titles, are actually named as well as the tailors who attach them.

Good thread to watch for a start as there is smoke, its grabbing the lighter fluid that makes it difficult. This was interesting and a surprise for me. Grab those phone camera's for these shows and snap the gingerbread.

                Crazy market.

Is that lab coat even a lab coat? with off-center funky black buttons?
It does not even have a breast pocket...Could be anything really...

Ah yes. The Mengele of the chicken world. There are rumors of death camps throughout southern Missouri and Arkansas.

It is my understanding PETA is planning on trying him for "Crimes against Poultry."

I can't find another picture of these coats actually in wear on the internet, but there are pictures in several books.
Here is one that was mentioned earlier in this thread. Sorry for poor quality.

I think the person you are thinking about spells his last name differently.
