    Peter,

When you get the lab coat back, from the person you sold it to, can you post some close up photos of the label in question, on here, so we can use it as a reference.

Bob read what I said again. I have no need to name names. What I said is back in the 90’s I knew a Chicago dealer from the show circuit that pushed crap. He told me that there were a handful of guys that did the same. That was were he got his inventory. I would also like to add the mindset of the guy I knew was these caps were not “bad” caps. They were just enhanced. “Enhancing” seemed to be an acceptable practice at the time. He did name names but it was almost 20yrs ago. I could not remember one if I heard it. I have no clue if any are on this forum or not but my guess is maybe one or two might be. Chicago just happened to be a hotbed of activity at the time and in looking at the inventory of a couple of Chicago dealers it still is. BTW regarding the bad visors. Over the years I have been able to somewhat pippoint the source. Two people that rebuilt them were in the US and not in Chicago although they had ties there. One was from Europe and had many ties in the US. Most of the caps in question were Erel's.

If you follow the chain of ownership of the lab coat in the thread it never mentions that Peter will get it back.

Hi John, I am just following a bit of logic.

Mr X bought the coat from Peter and will now be returning it for a refund.
I assume once Peter has it back, he will return to the dealer, that he got it from, for his refund.

Peter has confirmed he will be getting this item returned to him.

...and I'm sure when that happens, "Someone" will find Jesus in the bottom of a Beer bottle and come clean.

              Ya, riiiiight.......

"Big Time" Damage has been done to some reps here, and for good reason.

At the end of the day we must all just stick to the facts as we know them.

                    1. Can we prove that Peter bought the labels-----Yes by his own admission.
                    2. Can we prove that Peter sold the labels-----No as we only have his word on this.
                    3. Can we prove that Peter bought the coat from Germany----Yes again by his own admission.
                    4. Can we prove that Peter sold the coat to Mr X----No because Peter will not name names.
                    5. Can we prove that Peter conspired to have the label and sports runes added to an old coat for commercial gain----No.
                    6. Can we prove its the same label----Yes due to photographic evidence.

Therefore as you are innocent until proved guilty, there is still plenty of doubt as to the identity of the fraudsters.

I am just thankful that this thread has saved me thousands of dollars as I was seriously interested in buying that coat before it was exposed here. I was holding out in hopes of finding an earlier one with a piped collar and rzm tag, but had almost given up.

If you accept points 1. and 3. that consist of an admission without naming the other party, then you must by the same standards accept points 2. and 4. as each of those consist of his admission without naming the other party.

Very true I am just pointing out that you are innocent until proved guilty.

The "Lawyer Jibberish" is really not necessary.

It all comes down to having the personal Courage and Integrity (neither of which has been displayed here, and most likely never will be) in regards to admitting the Truth.

The direct participants in this Fiasco know who they are (and are reading or have read this).....so c'mon Lads, put on your "Big Boy" pants and get on that SSoapbox.....the World's waiting....

What do you mean participants (plural)? There is only one person guilty here - the one who had access to the labels and put one of them in a plain lab coat. All the other players are unwitting dupes in this scam...

Kassel is a big show. Was anyone there who remembers seeing such a unique item for sale?

                                Tom:

Good point - that said, if I made a mistake in regards to the number(s) of people involved, then someone (or those) "in the know" should easily to able to clarify this, correct ???

                                Will this happen ???

I think we all know the answer to that.....

This "Old Dog" has had enough of Beatin' a Dead Horse.....

Thankx for everyone's time....it was fun while it lasted !!!

                                ;-)
