                Nib,

Yes, these are Deutches Heimatwerk and appear in various forms and designs and can be found in various books and period catalogs. They are a real bitch to find and are hand made. This one is nice enough that I can flip it around and its displayable in reverse. I have a different pattern that I am waiting to receive that is a peasant style. This was one of Himmler's pagan like ritual pieces that he took and applied to the SS family. I believe the designs date back about 700 years. The emphasis was to remind the SS man of his roots as a farmer or in the earth. Weitzel shows one set up in the SS family guide.

Strangelove, I will light this corner up for the Holiday for sure and hope by next year to complete this and the hardest piece is yet to come, unfortunately it will allow me more space to fill with expensive stuff.

                Best,

                Kris

                      Very nice!

The tapestry is a great background.

What's the name in the ring?

                          Robin,

The ring is named to some guy named "Allach" I still have not come to grips with ring costs, but bed spreads and tapestries I will pay for.

I sympathize!, I would not want to wear this pattern either, and a couple friends have had a little fun with it as well. But all one has to do is look at the SS and all kinds of weird items come to life. Putting them together and in context is another job entirely.

                          Best,

                          Kris
