      Hi

Well that is a couple examples and hopefully we will get a few more to check against the lists.

If members want to post up any more data that can be checked then that would be great

Did SS Man #25884 have the ring in the 1936 DAL?

          Hi Dr. Dolch

I am not sure that you are going to believe me but that is very example I have just been looking at. That is really bizarre.

Here is the TK document from July 1935 for Arnold Jürgensen (SS Nr#25,884) . It is taken from Detlev's book of awards and the award is dated July 4th 1935.

Here is the listing from the July 1935 Dienstaltersliste.

Note that there is no totenkopfring symbol. Thus we have another example where the entry for a ring was not listed in the officer list before the bestowal date.

Jürgensen's entry in the 1936 list shows the receipt of a totenkopfring

Dr. Dolch, I find you posting a request for information on SS number 25,884 as I was getting ready to post it somewhat creepy.

I am trying to work out the significance, but have not ruled out the paranormal

Raymond, really odd because I am looking at the same catolog as we speak? It's great that you have a copy because it also show him having two honor ring application documents with different dates, what gives with that? I hope there is a real good explanation to that.Raymond you are correct it is for a sword.

                  Hi

If I recall correctly, one is for an SS sword, but I will go away and check. I think it is on page 338 or 339 if memory serves me correctly

                  How strange!

What complicates things is that a ring could be withdrawn for disciplinary reasons, and then be reinstated later on. So, it is not impossible that a DAL printed after an early ring had been withdrawn would show no record of the ring-holder receiving it. Never say 'never'.

                          Hello,

To answer T. Braun's question in Post #16, I believe the V after the SS number meant that their racial backround needed to be checked at a later date by the RuSHA.

                          Best,

                          James
