I am not sure that you are going to believe me but that is very example I have just been looking at. That is really bizarre.
Here is the TK document from July 1935 for Arnold Jürgensen (SS Nr#25,884) . It is taken from Detlev's book of awards and the award is dated July 4th 1935.

Here is the listing from the July 1935 Dienstaltersliste.
Note that there is no totenkopfring symbol. Thus we have another example where the entry for a ring was not listed in the officer list before the bestowal date.
Jürgensen's entry in the 1936 list shows the receipt of a totenkopfring

Raymond,really odd because I am looking at the same catolog as we speak? It's great that you have a copy because it also show him having two honor ring application documents with different dates,what gives with that?
