I'm surprise that there seems to be no interest in these wonderful Italian SS items. How often do you see Italian SS boards these are very rare not to mention the Bocassile Italian SS card oh well.

Thanks I believe those red tabs were obtained from German over stock Flak tabs.

Yes , but photographic evidence has only shown them worn in studio portraits only and not in the field. The general conclusion is that they were unofficial .

Rene, that is one sweet collection you have there now. The worn cloth eagle is smoking. It is rare to see one in used condition. The postcard is a killer too.

Congratulations on your last score. It could have cost you more if I hadn't fell asleep at the wheel.

Here's my stuff (to include a good and bad example of the red eagle!)
The chevron can from a hoard of these which were found in Germany...

Rene,, the interest is there! It's just that this stuff is so dam rare! Guess I an others would like to have examples of the insignia IF we could afford it, and even more,,IF we could find it!!

Rene, Nick,,thanks for posting,,it is a treat for many of us to see..,,and maybe it will get others to remember they have some pieces and post them

Thanks Gaspare I just get the feeling that forum members and me included see so much stuff here that we sometimes provide comments on common items but when it comes to rare items there is not much to say. Thanks Nick for posting your wonderful Italian SS insignia.

Wonderful collections Nick and Rene! The red rank tabs and boards must be hard to come across.
