    Battery boxes/cases for reticle lamp.

    Charles,

I think you may be right.......interesting how the price has gone up too.

Like I said once I have it in my hands I will post some more detailed photos.

      .

Nice! I just cant see the CZJ mark being legit though.. Why would Zeiss bother with metalwork / battery boxes when there are a bunch of specialist makers out there already ?

For sure the Carl Zeiss is bad also. It looks like a kind of transfer the seller has added. The boxes are original but look refurbished. If the price was correct they could be used to complete other empty boxes with original paint...but they are too expensive.

Some years ago I wouldn't pay more than 30€ for a battery box

          Gents,

Sorry but I can't stop. I had to do it. I am now restoring my Beleuchtungsgerät für Stritchplatte boxes. One needs all the fittings but the other only the wooden ones. just two captions:

                Well gents,

My wee grey battery box arrived today in the post.

It looks like a legit box I can't get the insert out just yet. I'm going to bring it to work & try work some magic.

In the mean time here are some detailed photos.

That's it for now till I get the insert removed.....without breaking it.....[emoji848][emoji95]

                    Hello Glen,

Did you manage to get it out? It does look refurbished as it has many layers of paint.

Here's a pic of the wooden bulb box and bases for the batteries. I have produced 3 of them. I have made the covers for the bulbs but still need the hinges and closing latches. I still have to make the batteries's spacer...I've been busy with my KZF2 box this week

Charles, not yet my friend. Summer weather BBQ & friends have been taking up my time.
I was looking (& drooling) over the KZF2 box you are restoring. [emoji95][emoji1303][emoji95]

Yes 100% Bulgarian Picasso on the box [emoji13] I will try get to it asap.

                      Cheers,

                      Gken

                        Hi Carles,

Due to circumstances a bit later than planned, but your battery covers ave arrived, many thanks for that - they are lovely!

Not a German battery but a Finnish made one I found inside a German ww1 Field Telephone , I am sure the Germans must have used some of these while they had troops in Lappland

IMO it looks like so-called KM "sea green" camo paint?

                                Hey gents,

I sent some flashlights and batteries to E-stand thinking they would be interesting...but no one seems to need one. If anyone here might like one..here's the link:
