Thank you for the input; It has what appears to be some some scrapbook paper remains on the reverse from where it was glued and does not glow but I am ever skeptical of anything from the TR.

Yes, it is very odd. I can tell you that I checked it under UV and it doesn't glow. I have never seen another like it, and I don't recognise the shirt material it is sewn to.


it is either an odd, foreign-made piece, or it is a clever fake.

Unusuall tropical eagle

Took these pics in a collection yesterday. Non standard eagle and jacket.

He bought the jacket at an auction from Berliner Auktionshaus in the late 90's

Eagle seem hand embroidered. Quite thick.

Any comments or thoughts are welcome.

Agree, but his embroidered eagles are genuine.

Tskagen, that tunic and eagle are definitely atypical. Can you post more photos of the tunic? When I was young an older collector advised me to "collect only what was typically issued and worn." Your photos reminds me of how sound this advice was.
