The boards are not M36 green, but are original and will have to do until I can find a real pair with tresse and in this condition, which may take many years.

Even retains markings. All in all, 08 was a very good year not just for collecting.Attached FilesLast edited by Scott A. Hess; 12-23-2008, 02:29 AM.

Scott,
Wonderful smock - in many cases that would be a lifetime achievement goal.
Lenny, John and Juan - Thanks Guys Juan - you are 100% correct - it's a 1941 dated softer cotton twill version of the m40
Although I have picked up a few other tropical tunics this year I have another aquisition on it's way that will be the highlight of 2008...
Best Regards,
Mark.

Panzeraufklärer Wraps
Hello, all!
I have two favorites of 2008, actually. Amazingly enough, I acquired both of these this year. Both are wraps for Panzer recon officers. Both are named. The one on the viewer's right is pink pinked and named to an officer in PAA7. It came with his badges (mounted) and a host of paperwork. The tunic itself is gabardine (as are the "skull" tabs). The one on the left is golden-yellow piped; I'm still trying to determine the unit (only "A's" on the boards).
The headgear did not come with either of the jackets; the caps were acquired separately from two different sources.
I'll post more images eventually, both here and on my personal web site.
Merry Christmas and all the best in health and happiness for 2009!
