Wonderful Cossack tabs. I'm just wondering if there were lots of Foreign Volunteer items at the SOS?

I didn't see a lot. Only one dealer had a decent selection maybe 20-30 pieces including 2 kubankas. Most everything appeared good. Its where I got my Cossack tabs.Jim

                      Turkistan

This tunic I've posted before in response of Askolds' collection, I think it should also be present here.

A modified Dutch tunic that has seen use with the Turkistan Legion. No provisions (anymore) for shoulder straps.

                      Best

                        Terek-Kosak

                        Greetings,

A latest acquisition I wanted to share; Terek-Cossack summer officer tunic. All the insignia show clear and unmistaken sun-faded evidence of their ghost, the Tsarist style shoulder boards as well! The collar tabs are late war and appear authentic to the tunic but it is hard to tell. Anyhow, the tunic is definitely not strictly adhered to regulations, as so often seen within those troops.

The non German adjudant cord came with the tunic; I would appreciate any input on it's potential origin?

                        F.

                                Thank you!
Regarding your question, yes it is printed and sewn on a wool backing. It is of a more smooth silk like feeling then most examples you encounter, a magnificent piece IMO.
