Hi,
It seems to be a very nice set.
Was the flare gun found with the two pieces ? Or is it coming from an other source ?
Regards
the flare gun that came with this is one other and has a big Z stamped on it but is almost mint and did not wanted to scratched so I install this on and old one I had
The Z in this pistol is not from Züge but from Zink.
Z is stamped in the grip not in the barrel like for a kampfpistole.
The Lp should normally have a Zink barrel as well.
Frank,
I'm agree with you but when I see the above message from member Italienfront, I understand he is talking about an other flare gun (not shown in these pictures) with a big Z. Usually, Zink flare guns have a 'small' z compared to the 'Züge' one, do I may a mistake ? We need other picture of the original Leuchtpistole...
Best regards
Sorry to say, but the Sturmpistole stock and sight are definitely fake. I would like to show the difference as I have both an original and fake in my collection, however, I do not want to give away the differences to the individuals making the fakes.
Of course, the gun itself is real.
I would be especially wary of ANY Sturmpistole with the Tan Africa Corps type paint, as virtually all of the repro's have been painted as such. I have not seen a real one to date with that paint.

well if you make a statement like this you have to show the evidence please.
I found this on the net in the original box and looks like the one I posted.
Thank you
My first thoughts were that the stock and sights are fake. Sorry. These items have been heavily, and rather accurately, faked. I too don't like the paint and have never seen an original in ordnance tan. My opinion and experience to date.
There will be a collector, who I see at many shows, who is the most advanced collector of flare guns and accessories IMO at the SOS and I would ask him. Greg Baker is his name.
I also would have nothing to do with that one in the case. The case is very bogus.
Giorgio, with all due respect, how does one provide evidence? Handling a known original is how we learn the most about much of this stuff.

You guys are probably right, I never had one before so I would not have idea but I was just asking for pictures and the one in the box if is a fake is a very good one complete with case and papers
I have known Wolfgang for a long time and do search his site every month or so.
I had doubts about the boxes when I first saw them. Although I do not own one, I have seen several originals.
I told Wolfgang the Sturmpistole stock and sight were not correct, but I believe he still sold them as consignment items. Note the price was not that far off from other fakes.
Willi Z, I like your folding front sight that you pictured.
