Hello. Any tan stock and sight set is a fake! If you want a original piece for comparison your out of luck as no one is willing to share the info publicly as this creates more information for the fraudsters to improve on their products. I just stay away from these pieces as they are heavily faked. Martin.

I completely agree with the originals not being shared publicly, I just hope to be able to see a real one someday.

Here is an original for review. It was sold on the James D. Julia auction house. Your best bet at comparing what is original and what is not. Martin.

By the way, one of the two tan ones I posted above is currently for sale on the Rock Island Arsenal auction in case anyone wants to pay top dollar for what is evidently a reproduction.Last edited by WWIIBuff; 09-21-2018, 11:53 AM.

The Sturgess Collection example, at Julia / Morphy, Sturmpistole has an original front sight and liner, however, The stock I believe is a reproduction. It sold for quite a bit more than the fakes showing up everywhere.
I have yet to see a tan painted example that is original. All so far are definite fakes.
I will again be at the SOS in early 2019, and I will bring the two Sturmpistoles ( one original and one fake ) so I can show and explain the differences to any who want to know. Word of mouth is the best way to spread the information, as the fakes keep getting better and better.Last edited by SIGNALMAN; 09-24-2018, 11:11 AM.

Here are photos my restored model purchased a long while ago from a noted collector in open and closed position. Though it is inaccurately attached to the Z-Pistole, my interest in the stock was from its use by combat police forces that were issued the W.Gr.Patrone 326 for use when facing assault situations. Police manuals indicated the W.Gr.Patrone 326 was fired from standard LPs, but with the additon of a stock. Signalman and I have discussed what other "stock" could have been used other than the tubular one for the Sturmpistole.
