      Here are some pictures of the bolt on my MG34, but also with the breech split. To be honest I've only just found out that this could be done on my MG34, as when I'd tried before it had never split, because of a 7.92 round in the breach! Well here they are:

        Pity the barrel is welded inside. Is the release button (the one to split the receiver from the barrel jacket) also welded in place?

          Hi Carles,
          unfortunately the release button is welded from the underside, so it cannot split from the receiver. Patrick.

              Kinda a newbie question on the MG34....

              Patty D or anyone else here?

              I have a couple of questions about the MG34. One is on the trigger itself what does the "E" and "D" stand for? I assume one if for full auto and the other would be for single shot? Now if you pull on the single fire part of the trigger is it like shooting a rifle or dose it have a different feeling to it?
