The Rhode and Schwarz SAMOS receiver is a famous device, very advanced for its time.
The best place currently to buy radio equipment is Ebay. I don't want to draw another person into that crazy scene, but that's the best place. There are quite a few very wealthy bidders to contend with though - and watch out, the prices are ASTRONOMICAL.
Thanks again for the Panzer headphones. I have collected German WW2 Radio gear since I was in the 110th PGD in the 1980ties. I remmeber and bought German radio gear when it was cheap and no one wanted it but me!
Like a mint torneb with frount cover and spare tubes in wrap for $250 and the battery box for $200! which is much rarer then the torneb. I have bought and sold over the years. Lets see heres some of the things I have.
1. dorrette with original battery box, antenna and storage box
2. Fud2 working, I have the battery box also but someone took out the shelves and put a phono player in it. I have removed it and need some one to build the shelfs, If I had the demenssions, I may be able to get them made by one of the on line metal part makers. I also have the frequency calibrator and 2BA38 battery.
