    General Sonderklasse

This schirmmutze is for a general rank. The piping seams are not visible in the pictures but beautifully joined. In hand the quality is immediately noticeable. The adler and vented cockade are exquisite bullion to my eye. Crazing on the visor is distracting but the doeskin is nearly immaculate.

I'm sorry but this cap is nothing I would have in my collection.
              I would say it's a frankenstein cap.
              No chance!

You must be right, but (no offense) rather than our relying on an unsubstantiated statement like “Bush says economy strong!” with nothing to back it up, can you share with us what you actually ‘see’ in these (not so detailed or clear) photos that proves & warrants your definitive statement? Inquiring minds (hoping to learn from your expertise) want to know.

Sorry ,but I don't like it too.
The the vented coccade doesn't seems to be a original erel,I don't like how the lining is set the pleats are confused and not well set like in original erel.
I would see some picks of the pasterboard and the sweatband's stitching.
Honestly I would have in hands, but I would 't have in my collection.

Because a Frankenstein cap ? .....there are trace or strange stitching on this cap ?
The Frankenstein cap usually used 2 original cap for make 1 cap ( for example : 2 WH original infantry for make 1 SS officer or Nco )
But in this case......2 General cap for make 1 General cap ?? .....the piping is near impossible to substitute.

Okay... here is an other fake EREL from the same tailor.
It's an copperbrown piping (Kradschützen) with an CW sweatband, but the same style, material and tailor handwriting.
Compare this one with the EREL general!!!

                        Hope this helps....
