The diamond is not plastic as mentioned, it is the same celluloid material common to the period. And present on my other visors.
As far as the visor and sweatband I don't see any indication of post-war modification. However, I don't have it in hand at the moment and will revisit this evening when return home from work.
The cockade looks right to me. But I don't have another example with which to compare in hand.
Pleats, hmm, they look ok to me.
I have several visors and a few erels (albiet kleiderklasse) I have yet to compare it to.
I'll post more pics with lining, sweatband, vent and shield when I return home tonight.
