What exactly does Goering have in his left hand? It sorta looks like a swagger stick but I think even Goering would find ths ludcrious!!

Göring used a cane because of the shrapnel in his hip socket from WWI. He used pain killers, morphine, since WWI to relieve the constant pain.

I talked with the person owning this outfit. He added the cap, knows it is a repro...

Rare German WWII Field Marshal's Visor Similar to the Cap Worn by Herman Goering
I love this headline. I happen to have a "Rare German WWII Generalfeldmarschall's visor cap SIMILAR TO the cap worn by Erwin Rommel", anyone wants to buy it for between $20000 - $40000?

This was a pic from a German auction house in 1973 that I found on the forum.

Anyone know the whereabouts of this one?:

the peak looks too short and too sharply angled.

It was jammed in a drawer or storage box from Spandau I believe for several decades and is IMHO quite real ..Billbert

Honestly, from those poor pics I don't like it. What I see is twist cord as piping above and below the cap band, laurels sewn with hollow coil bullion, and a separate winged wreath which is missing. None of these features are observed on surviving specimens or period pics...
