I like the other pic with Himmler. Even though Hermann was pretty soft by this time he still could've mopped the floor with Heinrich!

Mannerheim was cool! He played the game and saved Finnland!
    Agree!

I believe that if the Leroy or Paul s Goring visor caps were put up for sale in a major auction they would fetch $300,000 to $500,000. Not that I expect them to be put up for sale. I know I wouldn't.

Looking at the rest of the post this appears to be the hat in the 1971 militaria magazine and Moran book...Billbert

                Newbie perspective

I just read with complete facination from the beginning of this thread in 2008, post after post from some of the giants in the collectors world and I just kept thinking to myself where this hobby will be 25 years from now and how much of an investment must the "titans" of our hobby make to preserve the integrity of the hobby and to ensure the chain of custodianship of these massively important objects like one of HG's visor found on a train by a PJ from the 101st be continued and shared with the rest of the community. Is there anything left un-tapped for us barely in the hobby to find, more then likely not, so it will only be accessible if ever from other collectors and how they choose to pass these valuable objects forward to the right individuals. It surely must be a concern. I dunno, I thought I would just add my perspective of the thread and how I enjoyed it immensely.
