    Reason

The one NTZ showed is very typical shape and desirable shape. The way the Eagle is bent and the folds on the material are perfect. That is an NCO Visor to die for, now for a walking out Senior NCO tunic I would want a higher quality peaky Visor.

That does look to be a nice one. Typical contract lining?

            Nick,

Please no challenges as to who knows more than who (baiting). We all get it wrong from time to time.

            I deleted your last post.

My hat is a carbon copy of the one posted by Vaughn. Exact lining sweat band and diamond.

Yes, the inside is all there and in fine condition.

                    Beautiful examples guys

As for the cap that started this thread, kudos to Alan for letting Ben to get a hands on inspection .

This means nothing and if by chance that cap is real you have pissed all over it. It doesnt matter if something is made to YOUR taste or liking because it wasnt made for you. What matters is was it made during that period in time and if it was it is still a highly valuable collectible despite your personal tastes in the way it was made.
On the other hand if its a fake then it was done correctly and this should cause concern and an attempt to find out who and when. This is important because the dealer has sold many many mint condition unissued items some said to have come out of old tailor shops after the cold war. This may be true or maybe he hired a really good old seamstress and milinary worker that did this 65 years ago and remembers how.For the caps sake its important because it would blast any theories of late war color piping.
When I posted this about the cap staring this thread and now on the estand, I was not certain of the fakery this dealer is capable of...I now am very certain he has a capability to fake many things near perfectly including the uniforms of famous leaders.
