I believe that there was no other organization in the 3rd Reich period that had more variety of headgear than the N S K K. I would include not only the standard N S K K units, but all of the Transport Gruppe Todt and Speer organizations, the combat attached NSKK formations. I have numerous items in the collection that are variant to the norm. We are discussing kepis, schiffen, feldmutze, schirmutze and stahlhelm(sorry helmet guys but this also fits in to thsi thread).
To kick things off, I am showing a few schiffen. Note on the R Z M tag that they are labeled at various times "Dienstmutze", Tuchmutze & "Feldemutze.
This is a 1st pattern with fold down sides from Motorbrigade Hochland.
As with the S A, Gruppe colors would be used by more than on e area. In the case of this hat, the distinctive application of the Hochland pattern edelweiss designates where this hat came from. The rank of obertruppfuhrer is indicated on the left side with the litzen with two pips.
