    Hi Dallas

importing those thing must have cost you a fortune....
how much was "postage" for the hatch?
or do you have your own transport company?

the muzzle brake looks like that from a Russian 76mm gun as on the SU 76

The real heavy things I've gotten shipped Air Cargo and my import broker did the rest. I just went and picked the stuff up at the airport.

My local parcel delivery man wasn't too happy about having to lug a 30kg Tiger track link to my front door the other day.

In my local post office they know me well. They let me a paper for me to go and get my packets That's a bit of a problem for them when you collect Panzer items.

              20 ton jack

              Hi guys !
Having bought a third 20ton jack, I made pics for comparison.

Green one and rusty one are made by SBW ( Süd BahnWerke ) while the one in red primer has no SBW marking, it had a plate that is missing, due to some differences it is not a SBW made jack.

The rusty one has heavy battle damage :

The green one has a small shell perforation:

              Details pics:

              SBW stamp

              Enjoy

The damage to the green jack looks more like a bullet hole, armour piercing perhaps.
Have you had a look inside to see where it was stopped?

                Tom.

I got this one today, fully functional, not bad for $100. This is a 10 ton jack, right?

                      Hi

It looks very much like a 10 ton jack yes
what can you read on the data plates ( maybe you'll have to remove the blue paint to have a better view.

what is the height at the lowest position?

                      ciao

The data plate is unreadable unfortunately :-/
The height at the lowest position is 74 cm.

                            Hi Asbjørn

when the height at its lowest position measures 74 cm then you have a 5 ton jack.
you should find a "5 - DIN" stamped on your data plate or embossed on the crank arm

a 10 ton jack is at least about 10 cm longer at the lowest position ( varies from manufacturer)

yes that true.... but I rather spent money on purchasing parts then on postage

Here is my Stug Commander hatch. You do what is fair and reasonable on post/shipping if you want to get these parts from Europe to the Americas. Same on a huge scale if you are a collector of the tanks themselves. It has to be shipped, or flown if you want it here.
