        more panzerparts

        Hi all

@ Carles and MG Freak :
        many thanks for your appreciation....

no intention to make you jealous , I just like to share with y'all the parts that I have saved from further deteriation.
Now all these parts have found a better home

but the best is yet to come...

Here is a selection of panzer IV parts that were dug out after the Panzer was dismantled on the spot...luckily the scrapmen were a bit sloppy and left some goodies for us to find.

        [IMG][/IMG]

The MG gunners hatch, a 10 ton jack, a jack stowage bracket, a boogie stopper, and tracklinks ( one spare tracklink still has its stowagebracket attached).....the Schürzenbracket is from a StuG III

ps : this was not yet the best part

        Ciao

                  Hi Carles

you refer to the panzer III/IV links

                  I have several types

                  2 x early 40 cm tracks
                  [IMG][/IMG]

                  65 x standard 40 cm tracks ( 3 different patterns)
                  [IMG][/IMG]

                  19 x late 40 cm tracks
                  [IMG][/IMG](web pic)

                  1 x Ostketten
[IMG][/IMG]( thanks Stéphane for the pic)

(ps: the standard tracks match with all different patterns but the Ostketten only matches with the late tracks )

                            Hi

I agree with Carles....I can recognize the driversvisor Blende but the rest is difficult to identify
and what is that rounded plate in the back ....I don't see were that was fitted in the SdKfz222

                            ciao

If that Blende is for a 222 it is for the right side of the front as it is the fixed one. Note the four bolt holes. The Drivers cover is longer if it has the permanent right view slot. The earlier models had two opening covers that were the same size, and the last ones a single larger cover. I have spend a lot of time going over the photographs and cannot ID anything that belongs to a 221/222/223 in them with 100% certainty. Sorry Harry

Looking at the picture, on the left bottom of the wooden board is the stop light cover from a U.S. made vehicle (used on everything from the Harley Davidson WLA up to the Sherman Tank).
