Hi John. I have about half a dozen of this maker's tinnies. He seems to have had a patent on this process, which he calls "Efoplast" or "Esoplast". Seems to be a sort of "plastic-y" leather.

                Esoplast

                Hi Ralph,
Thanks for your comments & pics! Very interesting. My "Nitroplast" on my pic got washed out so I am including a better shot here. I found I had another "Efolast."
I wonder if this was the only maker who did this process?
I wonder what the D.R.P.a. stands for?

Here's another "Efoplast." Sure looks like pressed paper.

                      Perhaps a forerunner to DRGM?

I asked the same question about 30 miles... I mean 30 pages back.

Here is referred to as "Lederplastik", with a DRGM mark. This guy must have had some sort of lock on the process, all mine of this substance are marked with his name.

                        They're not paper.

                        Whatever they are.

                          Nor are they plastic.

More of a plasticised leather. Who else has these?

                            Ralph,
Ran across a company in Switzerland called "Ecoplast Industries."
They're a recycler and trade scrap plastic. Maybe these things were
made from recycled leather & plastic? Odd that all your pieces and mine were made by the same manufacturer.
