        Two wooden VDA pins

Here is a set of wooden VDA pinbacks. One a girl and the other a boy. Both are holding a collection can for donations. I have seen these painted in different colors. Nicely marked on the backs. This set was issued on March 9, 1935. Wonder if these were worn by the kids when they attemped to collect donations. Enjoy! Mike

Here is a new one for me that I got today. Wir Helfer 1933/34 stamped metal tinnie with a clip for wearing on a pocket or button hole. Tinnie is about the size of a quarter. Realize that it is not as sexy as some but I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Mike

Here is the same stype WHW tinnie from 1934 in three different styles. Believe there are 6 varieties to this tinnie. Here are three of them. Mike

Here is a fun, early WHW tinnie that just arrived. This is a WHW Gau Muenchen Kind m. Spitzmuetze 1934/35 stamped metal tinnie mounted on a stickpin. This has to be one of my favorites! Mike

Malcolm, the word is Heil. It is the old German 'H'. Marvin

Thanks Marvin, I have not got my Manion books yet. (they are ordered) so I don't have any reference source outside of this great website. Do you have any info. about the rose posted (#12 in this thread) I found mine in a cigar box with several other tinnies and I had my doubts whether it was related with the other stuff. I hope to post my pictures of what few I have pretty soon.

Boy, I am glad to have found this site. That's a great help!
By the way, I really like the wooden WHW pieces that were posted. I have some that look might they may have been Christmas ornaments. They are rather crudely painted and one has a child? sitting on a star. They were in the same cigar box I found the rose in. I need to become an association member and maybe I can start posting pictures. Is there a link with association info on this site?
                              Thanks Again!

Malcolm, there were several sets of painted, wooded figures from the WHW, The one you mention, the girl on the star is from Christmas 1936 and there were 10 different figures in the set. There are many different wooden figures from the WHW and we use them as Christmas orinaments on small feather type trees here. I will post some pictures later of some different figures I have. Mike
