Marc--Thanks for the infromation. My question to you is this. Are the tinnies shown in this tread pre WWII and is this organization still around today or did it stop with the end of the war. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Mike

Innere Mission
So far all the tinnies shown have been listed in the various references (previously posted) as WWII. However they are not always verified by a date. Most of the Church organisations still function today, not necessarily under the same name. During WWII most previously raised organisations came under the rein of the WHW or KWHW.

Here is an item on ebay that I saw. I am NOT bidding on it but I am interested in any feedback members might have. It is listed for $100.00. Is that a reasonable price? Does it appear to be authentic? Thanks.

Richarddwh, While I couldn't find it in any of my reference books the pin looks good from the front I wouldn't pass judgment on it until I had a look at the reverse you do have to be very carefull with solid back pieces. Now having said that if it turns out to be a good piece $15.00 is a great price.

THanks for the input James, when I get my hands on it I will post better pictures. What do you think of the "Magdeburg" lettering it looks as though they ran out of space and had to leave the last two letters round the corner, seems a bit odd to me. But I am inclined to think that this piece is genuine as it doesn't boast third reich imagery when you see it initially, which is what many of the fakes I see do.

Richarddwh, If I were to categorize it I say it's related to the WHW org.Last edited by James Noble; 03-11-2003, 09:15 PM.
