Hi Mike,

My best guess is that there is a series because here is another post of another one that I have. The back is marked 'R HAUSCHILD', 'PFORZHEIM'. I need to get the Tieste books or the Foxhole books. Someone out there have any info on these WHW FASNET 1939 tinnies? Series? How many in a series? Pics? Thanks! Marvin

Marvin, Your oval fastnet WHW pin is in the Fox Hole book #2 it's identifed as a Carnival oriented donation badge no listings for the other one in the books I have.

Fasnet

Gau Baden.

Badische Fasnacht. Oval badge WHW February 1938 and the round badge WHW February 1939. There are a number of different badges for each year. Fasnacht (or Fastnacht) is a Festival or Carnival held every year in the Northern part of Germany. It is still celebrated today normally starting on or about the 11th of February. For what reason I have never managed to find out, it just happens.

Mike, If it's the set I'm thinking of there are 12 in the (Deutsche Bauernhäuser) set it came out in 1942/43.

Some info on the plastic badge;

Peter Rosegger was born on the 31st July 1843 in Obersteiermark the son of a Forester. Became a writer of life in the county and had a number of works published between 1875-1902, also published his own monthly magazine "Home Garden". Died on the 26th of June 1918 in the war.

[It is possible he also had dealings with childrens homes, and a donation badge would then make more sense]

There are variations in the colours (colors) used on the wooden house series, and the size of the names.

Thanks Marc, do you think that the white plastic badge is then WHW or a tinnie? The bunny came with some items and I did not know what the heck it was. On the houses on wood. Is there !2 in the series? I have noticed printing size differences and colors as well--just figured that was a manufactoring difference. Thanks for the help! Mke
