Mini Breker Statues: "Die Partei" and "Die Wehrmacht"

Saw these on Ebay recently. Apparently they are about 6 & 3/4" tall. Does anyone have a set of these that they can post?

These appeared to have a gold finish that had worn off.

Here is the two of them together.

Did they come in different sizes, and were they sold to the general public?

Are they common today? (I had never seen them before this).

What are they retailed for today?

Thanks--is it outside or inside? Does anyone know where "Die Partei" is now?

If I recall correctly, both were missing at the time the Reichskanzlei was overrun.

Thanks for the link. Just like in the AHF thread, I am surprised the Russians did not destroy them, and likewise the DDR (or have them melted down):

I am assuming that my post #3 in this thread is a contemporary pic of "Die Partei", but that it is located outside somewhere. Anyone know?

Hi These minis are just replicas Made out of monkey metal and just put on a nice lump of marble.

I have the pair (not mounted on marble), but the lantern of the Partei broke in transit. (This was years ago, the seller never offered a reply or a replacement). Possibly not the same person selling these now though.

BUT they do make very nice ornaments. I love third reich sculpture / bronze works.

If you EVER see a reproduction of the horse that was at the back garden of the Kanzlei I would love that also!!

                  Here is my "Der Heer".

I am pretty sure Arno Brecker tried to buy / save as much of the art he produced during this period to save it from destruction. Many of his bigger pieces must have gone straight to the scrap yard sadly

                  Best Regards.

                  Alan.

What an informative thread this is! Until now I had not known that the two monumental Breker statues from the New Riechschancellery's Court of Honor had survived...or even that one of the two had! I suppose we should not be surprised that these great figures survived; after all, they were held in the highest esteem during the life of the TR and were created by the most significant artist of that era. And just as we now see that Hitler's desk from his study in the New Reichschancellery survived because it was removed prior to the worst of the bombing and shelling, we should probably assume that most of the other major pieces survived, as well. It wasn't only the French and the British who thought ahead enough to protect and preserve fine arts from the major collections. I wonder whether the Berlin History Museum could provide any information on the possible whereabouts of Breker's "The Party," given that they have "The Army" on display? Perhaps it's in storage somewhere, maybe even in their own basement? After all, there are those who would not want to display them together for fear that they might be revered as a shrine to neo-Nazism...and they might be right.

I too enjoy the various models of buildings and statuary that were created to tap into the commercial aspect of the TR, just as the post card publishers did for their trade, and I have long wondered whether models of Breker works might have been made available in sizes that most people could purchase. Seeing these models from the New Reichschancellery confirm in my mind that there probably were models of many venerable sites and objects made and sold during that era. If anyone could steer me to examples of the pair of Breker statue models in discussion here that are available, I would welcome it.
