      coburg 1932 poster

      Gentlemen,

I wanted to show my Coburg poster 1932 that I acquired from a forum memeber recently. I have had it framed and ready to hang. I thought it would go nicely in this thread. Comments welcome.

I saw your poster at the MAX last year and it's a nice original. IMO, I feel it's an unfinished example of mine.

By the way, I have not seen any other examples of these posters in all my years of collecting.

            Erich,

Thanks for the information. The colors are beautiful. It goes well with my Coburg tinnies. I am very happy with how it turned out.

John, yes it turned out very nice and now you'll have to find a Coburg Badge to go with it! A slippery slope my friend!

While looking at older auctions on HH, I found this interesting cigarette box in silver dedicated to Johann Singer at the anniversary celebration in 1937. Quite interesting!

Hello. I'm not sure if it fits in here but I'd like to show an honour invitation card of SA Obergruppenführer Böhmcker for the 20th "March on Coburg" anniversary.

Can someone read Böhmckers handwritten text on its back? I just can decipher the closing which reads "... Heil Hitler - signature - Böhmcker".

Btw., the card is part of a grouping of SA OGF Böhmcker which I've introduced here:

Thanks for posting this honor invitation and yes it belongs here. Another member posted another invitation earlier in this thread also from the 20th anniversary. I have a plaque that I also posted from the same anniversary.

Interesting that Böhmcker used it as a postcard! It's made out to a Sturmführer Hartmann, but I haven't had time to make out the rest of the message.

Yes Erich, that is interesting. Checking the list of Coburg Badge recipients, I don't find a trager by either name -- Böhmcker or Hartmann -- but of course these anniversary events were open to the public.

Here is an original photo from the personal photo album of a very high level SA Official showing a plaque attached to a building celebrating Hitlers march on Coburg. Thank you to the owner of the photo for allowing me to post it here.
