                      Mahnmal at the Feldherrnhalle

Sorry missed this Outstanding Ensemble! What a group....
                      It oozes MUNICH 1923!

My favorite Part is the"Mahnmal" monument centerpiece!
                      That's a beauty!

Not to mention those outrageous and original BlutOrdens sprinkled about.
                      Great Group!

Q: What happened to the "Mahnmal" and to the Metal "Putsch Martyr" Coffins ?

Terry Patton had a great collection of photos at the SOS on his table about 10 years ago, showing a German workcrew disassembling the Coffins and Hauling them out with a small crane. the "Temples" were destroyed, but the FuehrerBau and NSDAP Admin buildings were spared. What became of the metal pieces of National Socialism's holiest of holies?

Hi Bob, thanks for the kind words about my little display. The Mahlmal from what I read was torn down by the citizens of Munich in 1945. and all the bronze pieces were melted down and the bodies returned to their families.

That's a great grouping Erich. Any chance of seeing some close ups of the Mahnmahl monument miniature? Were these made for any specific purpose or were they available to tourists to the Munich area?

Richard, Not sure of their purpose but probably given to the Old Fighters or Putsch Vets. Here's a few close ups.
