In the photo in note #477, the Kreis PL is wearing the Traditions Gau Commemorative Badge below his NSDAP Membership pin.

Apparently Axmann was visited by the Spanish Falangist equivalent to Gertrud Scholtz-Klink of the NSDAP, Pilar Primo de Rivera, as recorded in this Hoffmann release photo. Axmann's Deputy, Reichsreferentin Jutta Rüdiger, leader of the BDM, is also present here. What is not recorded was the ongoing hostility between Scholtz-Klink and Baldur von Schirach during his time as Reichsjugendführer, and Artur Axmann as his successor. Scholtz-Klink always felt that leadership of the BDM was something she should have held, but her Führer thought differently!

        Thanks, my friend,

It looks like this is out of a book.
          Any ideas which one?

Rare to see pix of Streicher in Form 4 uniform, but here is his official portrait:

Posted previously in a separate thread but I thought that it should be added here:

An official Third Reich press photo of Robert Ley in Belgium. Curiously, Ley wears an SS officer's bullion sleeve eagle on his political uniform rather than the Reichsleiter armband.

Dr. Ley was not the only high-ranking member of the NSDAP Government to wear one version of the shoulder eagle or another instead of the Party brassard -- Dr. Goebbels was another who immediately comes to mind, and there were others as well. But I believe the comment has been made that this was a uniform style that was acceptable when that person was traveling outside of the Reich; when he returned to Grossdeutschland, he would again don the proper armband.

What is further interesting about this photo is that Ley was never a member of the SS -- he was an SA-Obergruppenführer -- and presumably had no claim to wearing the SS shoulder eagle. One wonders whether this pictured eagle might have been gold instead of silver, given the character of this man...?!
