My point is that in these photos Giesler's headgear is clearly not SS, but is a Wehrmacht (but maybe Party) side cap. Just wish the images were a bit clearer.

Just in case anyone is still interested, here are another couple of shots of Hitler's vehicles. First is a slightly different model of G4, but still with the Fuhrer's standard, then another view of the same being followed by a Krupp six-wheeler of the bodyguard unit.

It sure does look like the SS Officer standing in front of the car, on #8, has put his holster on the opposite side of where it would normally be and that he is ready to make a crossdraw to get it out and up a little faster then if he wore it in the normal position.
