Who is this?

The woman in post 899 is the same person I included in a previous post - picture 889. This was also from a photo album from a US Army Air Forces vet stationed in Alaska. Not sure who she is. The name on the back is May Williams, another member indicated he found Mae Williams but I have not had any luck with this name.

Olivia de Havilland is alive and kicking at age 98! She played Melanie Hamilton in "Gone with the Wind".

There were lots of underground photos and artwork showing full frontal nudity as well as pornography. Not something you would see in Colliers or Life magazine. I have seen cartoons of topless women in Military newspapers. Pinup pictures and artwork were pretty suggestive. I remember seeing female nudes (see through tops) in pictures in vet albums. I have one in my collection now showing full frontal nudity (actually although it is a drawing). A lot of noseart on US aircraft would of never make it past the censors either. I've even seen very risqué cartoons depicting sex acts in U.S. Vet albums but it is rare and usually humorous like in Playboy.

I have one album in particular that has a candid photo of a full frontal nude woman in it. The fellow was in the 711th ROB. I have a few other with artwork as well. I did see a WAC album on ebay a couple of years ago that had a couple of photos of her fellow WACS in the nude. Now that I thought was unusual and it takes all kinds.

I took a much closer look at the writing on the back of my photo and have discovered that what I thought was May is actually the abbreviation for Major - although there are no soldiers of that rank in the photo. Yes, the woman is in fact Olivia DeHavilland. She is simply identified as Olivia on the photo - initially it appeared to me as Oliver. Thanks for helping me solve this mystery.

I found another picture with two beauties who may be celebrities. Photo was taken I believe in Germany, May 1945. Any ideas?

That's an amusing pic isn't? You can tell by the girls expression that the older woman just some kind of comment regarding the size of her breasts. Te girl doesn't know whether to be proud or humiliated I bet. Though from her expression, I'm leaning towards humiliated.
