I am curious, why is it a fake. The reason I am asking is I collect pics of the german armed services and I would have assumed this is a period pic. Thanks. Mike

These are well-known fakes. The photo is taken during the war but it doesn't come from an archive, nor is the photo from the war. It has been made after the war. Do a black-light test and you will see for yourself.
