    Hi,

I had another look at the photos and found something odd.
It's the same couple, same venue but look at the medals and jacket.

The Spanish Cross is the same, medal bar the same, but in your photo the groom wears the Destroyer badge. The trade badge on his left arm is different and so is his jacket. Yours has no chevrons on the left arm and no boutonniere on his collar.

    Twin brothers marrying twin sisters?

This was my uncle, the brother of my grandmother.
I see the post of catisky and Eric Jan Bakker. I have to check the original photos, becaus my uncle spent some time in Rotterdam, too. One of this photos he sent to his sister with the note on the back "Rotterdam" and the year.

        Larry,

The flowers on bride's hands also look different. She's also missing the veil on her hair. In my opinion, same persons but two different cerimonies: one religious, one civil.

          Hello Douglas,

may be, thank you for looking for an answer to this strange situation.
I think that you are right, it could be two different ceremonies.

Anyone else who want to give his opinion regarding this issue??

            Thanks Douglas,

I agree as well, civil ceremony and marriage ceremony. What threw me was the wearing of two different trade badges on the left arm.

            Cheers,
            Larry

Now that is a real coincidence. Nice photo.

Here is another portrait, brothers perhaps.

Always being curious, in this case regarding that embossed Foto Thode in Cuxhaven....
...I looked it up and found that indeed there was a photo studio and verlag in Cuxhaven owned by Rudolf Thode. That's the one!

                            As for Foto "Rembrandt", Roosendaal.....
...here is the photographer. His name was Herman Joy. He is seen in the studio drying wedding photos.

KM? Found in a WW2 German photo album.
                                I can't see any insignia.

                                Cheers,
