      Hilfskreuzer PINGUIN Feldpost

      Hello All:

I would greatly appreciate any assistance in trying to determine the name of the Maschinenhauptgefreiter who sent this Feldpost card from the ship.

Any help trying to decipher his name would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps where he placed his return address or perhaps where he closed the message at the end of his card. (??) As hard as I've tried, I am left with no idea....

      Thanks!

      Joe

It might be easier if you would show more of the top image without cutting off anything.

That is it....Looks like he wrote to the edge of the card and then some...

I'll post the whole card as soon as I get it reduced down to WAF size restriction limits.

                pauke:

The entire card is posted for review here. To go along with the close-ups in #8524.

                Thanks!

                  name

The name written as the sender is the "family" named clearly written: Morokutti Ambros is what I read.

pauke: I have that part. I wanted to see if there are any indications about the crewman. I thought he was the sender. Can you make out any of the name of the maschinenhauptgefreiter?

                    Thanks so much!

                      name

I am referring to the name of the Maschinenhauptgefreiter. Ambros Morokutti. In script he wrote Abs. Morokutti Ambros above his rank.

OH!!!!!! Amazing! Thank you so much!!! I feel like a dumb-ass. This is great information--now I have a VERY, VERY solid lead to a previously unknown to me Hilfskreuzer crewman!

                        Thank you!

                              Unknown Kapitänleutnant (Read his Signature??)

                              Fellow Researchers and Collectors:

I'll be asking for your help yet again two more times tonight as I work to identify some more Hilfskreuzer crewmen.

If anyone can read the officer's signature and determine his name, it would be great. (Perhaps it is Ludwig Rödel or Ludwig Stadler (??))

Thank you greatly for any assistance!

                              Thank You!
