    Hm, it could indeed mean Amerik. even though I am still not 100% certain. But a captured american MP is of course the best possible result - so I will not ask any further
    The soldier was in Italy, from that point of view it is surely possible.

            Thanks for your fast answer! It is a plane, so ''Maschine" must be correct. I thought Maschine, but the "M" I was not sure about and therefore doubting also some other letters.

                            This photo came into my hands at 1951-04-10.

                            It is the last photo George sent to us.
