        Hi,

        in combination with 5754:

"Nobody would spell Himmler wrong ..."

It is the correct name Himmler, because there is a macron over the m, and that means: mm

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macron

"In the German Kurrent handwriting, a macron is used on some consonants, especially n and m, as a shortform for a double consonant ..."

Not sure how much you already know about it; it's a poem lamenting the fate of the "heroes" of Beloj.

It's sort of a standard kind of poem, in that it goes into the selflessness of their acts, their bravery, the reverence in which they're held, etc.

It's even more "poignant" due to the fact the soldier composed it on 22 Feb, then died/was killed 23 Feb.

              best

Ok thank you, it was part of a soldier's grouping that is why I was wondering.
