            Panzer I, series 1.

It's a Panzer I series 1, the precursor of the Ausf A. Possibly used as a Fahrschulwanne.

Ahhhh....I see it now as a panzer 1. Just most definitely modified. And you are probly right....a training tank. at first I thought it was some kind of tank modified for farm/tractor type use or something, but you have made sense of it.

Looks more like an Eastern Front medal to me. Nice photo!

This one is a recent acquisition: T-1 approaches 88 flak gun in tow.

Unless there's something written on the back to confirm or there are other documents/information regarding the soldiers and the unit they were serving in at the time it was taken, I don't see anything in the photo that would indicate they were definitely StuG crew members... Remember, the Sturmartillerie weren't the only ones to wear the field gray wrap. They could be self-propelled artillery (i.e. Wespe, Hummel, etc.) Panzerjäger, Panzerzug to name a few.

                              Nice photo.
