Kerry, the tactical sign is the late war , I think they changed in 1943, sign for the panzerjäger. I think in this case it is the Stab. I don't know what the unit sign is.

Just why I said late war is a mystery to me, that is the pre 1943 sign for PzJgr units, sorry.

No, that truck is clearly marked as belonging to Aufklärungs-Abteilung 4 (the rectangle with diagonal line and two little wheels under it) of 1 Panzer Division (the Oakleaf).

I need some help identifying this unit / division sign on the following picture.
It could involve a Luftwaffe Abteiling because the vehicle might be a SdKfz 10. FlaK without the gun?

Same design as the Nachtjagdgeschwader but with extra spotlight.

Excellent findings by augustdieter !

It might be worth mentioning, that similarities to the tactical symbol of Nachtjagdgeschwader 1 are not by accident,
but because the Sw-units that formed 2. Flakscheinwerfer-Division in 1941 were from the beginning
of their formation in 1940 subordinated to 1. Nachtjagddivision.
They became elements of the "Helle-Nachtjagd-Riegel" in Holland/Northern Germany !
