The scenary looks more like Western Front to me.

I'm thinking Italian front....did you look at page 289 Photo #2 one soldier is wearing an Italian helmet with string camo and another LW Soldier (with back turned) wearing a field made jacket in Italian Camo. Plus GFM Kesselring visiting the unit sort of gives it away.
