If you guys saw the sea of papers, folders, copies, film, and books everywhere I live in, it's actually amazing I can find anything.

From right EL winner Ernst August Krag, Herbert Schulze (KC and Close Combat Clasp in Gold), Sylvester Stadler, and facing away from camera is Karl Kreutz (EL).

Swords winner Paul Hausser's 90th birthday party (1970). Hausser is standing. Seated at left side of table with gray hair is Army KC General Walther Wenck. Right side of table seated nearest is Hubert Meyer, 1st Speaker of HIAG, former Ia of "Hitlerjugend" and German Cross in Gold holder. Beside him is Swords winner Otto Kumm who formed HIAG in 1950.

At the funeral of Swords winner and Oberstgruppenführer Paul Hausser (1979): Oakleaves winners Ernst August Krag (left) and Heinz Macher carry funeral pillows showing some of Hausser's decorations. More than 2,000 people attended the funeral in Ludwigsburg.

Men who had served at some point in Ellwangen pose together after the funeral of former Obergruppenführer Gottlob Berger (Head of SS-Hauptamt) in 1975. Front row 2nd from right is Swords holder Otto Weidinger. Next is Oakleaves winner Max Schäfer, then Oakleaves winner Albert Frey. Front row far left may be Oakleaves holder Max Hansen (?). The others are unknown.

Oakleaves and German Cross in Gold holder Karl Kreutz (last commander of "Das Reich") with his wife in 1984/1985. Always jovial and the happiest person.

In my mind leaders and politics make wars, men just fight and die in them. Seems to fit to remember anyone who served their country (or died serving their country) on memorial day, and these are just some who survived.

Taken in 2005 at an OdR meeting, a better image of how I see Siegfried Brosow in his senior years.
