Hi Julio ....Thats the problem. Not to me, but to a certain person or persons here on the forum. As I have said, I had a bad bad experience.....

I will explain it to you in PM. Then you will understand.

Marc , second from left front row, looks like Gustav Knittel.

Re: Mark Yerger's photo of Bergers funeral: since not all the people in this photo have been identified, is it save to assume that Frey, Hansen and Knittel are the only members of the Leibstandarte in this picture?

Can't remember if I posted this one, found last night looking for other photos

1966 Sepp Dietrich's funeral. From left are:

Heinz Macher (Oakleaves), Walter Harzer (KC), Max Schäfer (Oakleaves and Honor Clasp), Albert Frey (Oakleaves). Harzer was the first HIAG historian and a superb researcher. His personal interest was independent Kampfgruppen.

                              Great thread and pictures

post war lives of WW2 German soldiers is an interesting topic, so very different from allied vets.

                              cheers

                                Hi Mark,

The Walter Harzer you have identified on two photos is actually Hannes Gohler. However Harzer is on the very right of one photo.
