                Hello friends,

                you speak of 14 + 2 or 15 - did I miss someone's death?
Or do I have somebody in my list who passed away longer ago?

I'm not sure about whether any RKT still replying to letters.

As I know most of them already stopped answer.

Germany should hold a ceremony when the last one passes away at the Neue Wache but of course that rotten treacherous ruling clique in Berlin have no regard for German heroes.

Amazing to me that when I first started this thread in 2008, there were more than 400 living recipients of the Knight's Cross, now only a fraction remain.

Today I was going through a bin with all my photographs and letters. On one hand it is very sad, yet on the other I can say that I consider myself very fortunate for the time I have been able to get to know some of them. Many times it was a one time event, but for others, like Siegfried Brosow, Gerhard Krems and Heinz Jürgens, there was more. Now, nothing but memories.

Beyond the politics of the day, may we never forget the bravery, courage and valor of these men.

Would you mind sharing the addresses you have? I have already written Broch and Ribbentrop, but would like to get as many as possible.
                          Anything helps!

I feel the same way. I only met with two RKT's, but very glad I did. I wish I had been able to devote more time and effort to meet with more. Luckily I have mementos of those meetings that, although not period items, have cherished places in my collection.
