About that, is it known who are other Sturmbannführers still alive?there's should be also Herbert Schmeißer from Wiking Nachrichten Abteilung.
Ah right for some reason i was thinking that Heder got to Obersturmbannführer , but it must have been his rise to Oberst in the Bundeswehr !!

Having met Hubert several times at the 1 SS Panzer Korps Treffens is Austria and Germany over the years I can honestly say he is one of the most helpful persons I have ever met within the SS veterans . I am honoured to call him my friend .
Good point with his command of HJ for 6 weeks in autumn 1944 it does also make him the last Waffen SS Officer left alive to command at Divisonal level.

A note to those who wish to write Herr Alois Schnaubelt: I just received a photo back from him which he was kind enough to sign for me, but on the back of the photo he wrote that he can no longer write to people. So I think it would be best for us to respect his wishes and leave him in peace... He has definitely earned it!

        Cheers,
        Jesse

Apart from Herr Remi Schrijnen, I have more pictures from each man, but it has not meaning to give everything here. All of my photos are from personal correspondence. Again... apart from Mr Remi Schrijnen...

                        H.Meyer/ Peiper letters

Did not realize that Hubert Meyer was still alive. I wrote to Hubert Meyer back in 1974, seeking Jochen Peiper's address. H Meyer did not divulge Peiper's address (Traves France) but told me to write the letters and send them to him and he would pass the letters on to Peiper. Three letters and 6 months later I received a letter from Peiper. We went on to correspond (Peiper) up to his death in 1976. A total of 6 letters from Peiper.

I have done a search online but could only find the interview of the person
whom apparently pretended to befriend him on youtube.

I finally heard this morning, that the Audio CD is sold out unfortunately.

You have to consider yourself very lucky to have been able to correspond with this very interesting character. I was just born when Peiper died...
