Too true Nicolai it is nonsence about Soren Kam, and i totally agree about a witch hunt as they hanged a man for it in 1946.

Very sad news, Rest in Peace.
With the passing of Otto, now all Ritterkreuzträgers from any Schwere-Panzer-Abteilung are gone.

Sorry , but I cant understand where your problem is. You should respect that. Maybe the owner of the apotheke and Otto Carius was the same opinion that the photo of Carius in Uniform should be removed after he passed away?
He wrote that he is a political and Historical neutral person and that this is in the Name of Otto Carius , too.
I think Otto Carius was a great Soldier and his book is very good. For me it is important that we can see a photo of Carius uon this Homepage where he Looks very happy. We should see him not only as soldier and ritterkreuzträger, but as the person he was. He was the shortest time in his life a soldier.

I'm with 'Gran Sasso' in this case! It's typical for Germany (and Austria too).
            Kind regards, Peter

Sorry, but what exactly is typical? That he wrote that he is a political neutral and democratic Person? Sorry, but I am too...

I can understand Herr Göddel very well. We all dont know what strange People called the apotheke after he passed away , maybe there were a Little too much calls from so called " Neonazis" ? But this is only my guess..
What I can say is that I had a few times same experiences. If I sell a few things in militaria321 for example, I got Messages who ended with " mit deutschem Gruss " etc...

What I can say is that it is in Germany not easy to tell that you are collecting 3. Reich items. Most People think that is a political Thing...

But I cant really understand where the Problem is with the Website of Tigerapotheke. Again, Herr Carius is visible on the site... and this is what Counts, in my opinion... if he is in uniform or not...

                hi guys.
From my point of view the owner is trying to delete the past of the pharmacy. The removal of the photo in uniform is not a problem. What i didn't like (personally) is that he removed the info regarding the book thus people cannot buy it anymore. Of course this can be possible by another source let's say ebay, amazon etc
But stating that the store was named after the animal? That's a lie. We all know that Herr Carius named it after the panzer. He waited for him to pass away in order to clarify that. If it was ok why he didn't do it when he bought the store and while Herr Carius was still alive? I don't know his reasons and i respect his right to do whatever he wants with his business but still IMO that was a dishonest move towards the founder of the store who would be considered a national hero in another country and he would be treated as such.

I cant find this on the Website of Tiger Apotheke. Maybe Gran Sasso ... can you send me a link to this part of Website?

He removed it. If i am not mistaken it was written at the top of the page. Now it says only "we welcome you to the tiger-pharmacy" etc
before it was saying "the pharmacy was named after the animal and because we are also Asiatic oriented healing company". Not in exact words, i am just giving the meaning. Maybe he received complaints or he read the thread here and decided to change it. Who knows.

Well, I understand both parties.. Mr Carius' legacy should not only be his 5 years service during the war. His 56 years service to the public should be recognized, too.
Most people today do not care about stuff that happened 70 years ago. The new owner is now in charge and it is what it is. Let's see in 50 years what he will be remembered for..

did anyone heard news about Mr. Hellmut von Leipzig or contact with him in recently?

he didn't answer to my reply more than 3 months, and I never heard about him since last correspondence with him.
(it's April 16, last year. I wrote to him in January at that time.)

as we can contact with him easily, I'm worried about him.

hope someone heard about him in recently.

                              need help!

                              Hello friends,

First of all I'm sorry about I wrote it in here.

Did anyone know meaning of "d." in this sentence?

"bevorzugt: Ich habe alle Modelle gern geflogen! Ich hatte keine Probleme! Ich war ja auch Fluglehrer.
Siehe oben 5: Die Avia. Motor hatte linksdrall d. Luftschraube"

(Last sentence, "Motor hatten linksdrall <d.> Lufschraube")

It's Mr. Hugo Broch's answer for my question.

                              Thanks for help!

                              Han
