Being very close with a considerable number KC holders it's rather upsetting when they passed away, but later I remember the laughter, personal opinions, and stories so celebrate knowing them. Unknown if those here saw it, but this thread is cheerful and remembers them:

If I'm not mistaken he and Harald Nugiseks are the only foreign RKT's alive?

Yes they are. I guess the last foreigner RKT to pass was Belgian Remi Schrijnen in July 2006.

Does anybody know the status of Ludwig Bauer and/or Gerhard Fischer (Heer)? I'd appreciate it. Thanks guys.

I agree, Herr Kam is a rockstar. Living through a war and acheiving the age of 90 is no easy feat.

Don't know about Fischer, but I've seen Bauer three weeks ago and he was pretty good.

Julio, yes indeed...Bauer is always in good shape. And always has some nice stories.

He looks like a young boy. Really a great guy.....

Yes Martin! This year he presented me with a map of his trajectory during the war and a document explaining it. He's always moving around - looks so young!

                                Yes

Well Kam had alot of combat in very bloody battles(CCC silver and KC). He where wounded by machinegunfire... After the war he where wanted in Denmark, and if he would have been captured, he would most likely have been executed.

He started from nothing a new life in Germany... yes he is a rockstar in my book
